This is a great looking spider – Good work! Having looked at it close up rather than at a distance from the board it seems to work better – That is because of the value of your choice of color. At a distance the spider looks flat all the blacks and grays seem to merge into one solid shape. I took 2 layers off and let some of the white show through and this started to give the legs and thorax a sense of depth. Your use of texture was great but you really need to push your contrast. This will give depth and variety, which is what is so delightful in your original. Good work
I loved your spider when I first saw it when we shared our assignments in class but seeing it on the blog you can really see the detail and I believe you did a great job ^_^
Good job on the spider outline. Viewing on line, there is a good use of white to represent depth and lighting.
